Protected: John LaForge

Bass-baritone John LaForge has performed on select concerts with MOS and The Michael O’Neal Chamber Singers since March 2000. In summer 2008, John was a soloist in the Holocaust Cantata with MOS in performances in and Columbus, Georgia, as well as two performances in Italy.

He is beginning his fifth year as the Coordinator of Music Education for Fulton County Schools. In addition, John works with numerous arts organizations in the Atlanta area, including the National Center for Partnerships in Music, the Spivey Hall Education Committee, and the Capitol City Opera Board of Directors. He is also the director of auditions for the Southeast Region of the Metropolitan Opera National Council and Vice President of the Georgia Music Educators Association.

Mr. LaForge joined the MOS staff in 2008 and assists with rehearsals, sectionals, and occasionally conducts the chorus in concert. He performed as bass soloist with MOS for the Messiah Sing-Along this season, and sings with The Michael O’Neal Chamber Singers.
