Fort McPherson Army Ground Forces Band
& RUMC Sanctuary Choir
Sunday, November 11, 3:00 PM

Roswell United Methodist Church and Atlanta Wind Symphony will co-host a special community event on Sunday, November 11 at 3:00 p.m. in the Roswell UMC Sanctuary as the U.S. Army Ground Forces Band from Ft. McPherson presents a Veterans' Day concert.

Major Otis FrenchUnder the direction of Major Otis French, the Army Ground Forces Band serves as the Musical Ambassadors of the American Combat Soldier, touring throughout the country and performing concerts in support of community events, festivals, and other civic commemorations. This outstanding instrumental ensemble will present a program which features repertoire from traditional and contemporary band literature, marches, overtures, popular tunes and patriotic selections.

In addition, a chorus comprised of singers from the RUMC Sanctuary Choir and The Michael O'Neal Singers will perform several selections with the band, including A Salute to the Armed Forces and the first movement  from Randall Thompson's Testament of Freedom.

Star Spangled Banner Sheet MusicSpecial guests, including local firefighters and police from our community, will be recognized at the concert. You are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors to this special celebration honoring those who serve our country, both in the Armed Forces and at home.

The concert is open to the public; no ticket is required.
