Julie Albertson has been a professional harpist since 1980. An Ohio native, she played seven seasons with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She
received her Bachelor of Music degree from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. While living in Miami, she worked with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Florida and the Palm Beach Opera.
Since coming to Atlanta in 1990, Ms. Albertson has been appointed principal harpist of the Cobb Symphony, the Gwinnett Philharmonic, and the Atlanta
Pops orchestras. In addition to previous performances with The Michael O'Neal Singers, she has also performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Atlanta Ballet and Opera orchestras.
Ms. Albertson has played harp behind artists ranging from Itzhak Perlman to Yo-Yo Ma, and from Trisha Yearwood to Ray Charles. Her harp can be heard
on a number of recordings, including The Michael O'Neal Singers Sacred Sounds of John Rutter.
