With a repertoire spanning centuries and styles, The Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers has emerged as the Southeast's
premiere vocal ensemble with a reputation for choral excellence and polished presentation. Performing a wide range of choral selections, including Renaissance motets,
classical masterpieces, sacred and secular literature, and popular standards from opera and musical theater, the select twenty-six-member group appears on college and community concert
series, at professional trade shows, and for corporate, civic, and private events.
Performances by The Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers and The Michael O'Neal Singers are frequently played on Atlanta's classical music radio station WABE-90.1 FM, Georgia Public
Broadcasting (GPB), and have been featured on the nationally syndicated First Art radio broadcast. I Have Had Singing showcases the
chamber ensemble in performances of repertoire ranging from sacred to secular, 16th century motets to jazz, and spirituals to the Lennon/McCartney standard Yesterday. Other recorded
performances by MOCS can be heard on Sacred Sounds of John Rutter, Alleluia: A Randall Thompson Tribute, and Songs of the South.
The Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers performs in conjunction with The Michael O'Neal Singers, a symphonic chorus of 135
auditioned voices. Established in 1989, MOS performs a diverse repertoire and seeks to provide a variety of musical experiences in its concerts, including collaborations with other
arts organizations, professional orchestral accompaniment, and the presentation of nationally known soloists and guest artists. The singers range in experience from dedicated
amateur musicians to veteran professionals and reflect a cross section of the citizens of the metropolitan Atlanta area.
