The Michael O'Neal Singers will present "Songs of the 20th Century" at 8 p.m. Friday at Roswell United Methodist Church. This concert will offer a sampler of American choral music from the last century, including selections by Aaron Copeland, Samuel Barber, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and F. Melius Christiansen. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students.
At 3 p.m. May 21, the O'Neal Singers will preview their May 28 Carnegie Hall performance. The singers and the Roswell UMC sanctuary choir will perform Schubert's "Mass in G Major." Professional soloists Arietha Lockart, Victor Floyd and William Borland and instrumentalists
from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Georgia Sinfonia will join the chorus. The concert is free. The Michael O'Neal Singers is a nonprofit arts organization of amateur
and professional singers from nine metro-Atlanta counties. The 150-voice symphonic chorus and 24-voice professional ensemble annually present a four-concert series. Roswell UMC is at 814 Mimosa Blvd. Information: 770-594-7974.
