Getting to Know You . . .
In all seriousness to those who took the time to complete the survey, your comments are appreciated and considered in planning and programming for the future. We value your opinions and are grateful for your support of MOS. Bravo! Wonderful program - the energy was tremendous! (You should see what Michael does before the concert to get us excited.) Michael O'Neal can make 150 singers sound like one voice with such sensitivity. (A paid announcement from a close family member of the conductor.) Oliver Sueing - a real treat! I wish (he) had sung 5 or 6 more times!..... (Oliver is our FAVORITE tenor, too.... next to Michael, of course!) The remarks of Mr. O'Neal were generally helpful in giving some background and history, but seemed lengthy at times... (What can we say! It's his group & he does like to talk. Did Michael's wife put you up to this?) Have more men's rooms. (We agree. You should see the panic in the ladies room five minutes prior to the concert.) Sell CDs of previous concerts, like St. Patrick's Day 1999. And performance videos, also. (Copyright licenses must be secured before an audio or visual recording can be sold to the general public. As this involves both time and money, we try to choose the best of our work to release for sale.) I am here because of family obligations. I detest choral music. Please keep the concerts short. (We understand. Thanks for being a good sport.) Oliver Sueing was EXCELLENT! He reminded me of the tenor on my CD of Messiah by the Morman Tabernacle Choir. (Everybody loves Oliver.) ...Michael has an innate ability for the tempo and dynamics that the composer must have felt. The chorus responds in a sensitive, beautiful way. (Personally selected by Michael for inclusion in the newsletter.) We enjoy traditional - and new - a chance to expand our appreciation. (We enjoy audience members like you.) More Oliver Sueing! Bravo, Michael. It seems that every time you raise your baton, you also raise the bar. Please don't ever stop! (Another favorite remark from Michael's private collection.) Thank you for giving us your feedback, we will use it as we plan our future seasons. |
