Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers Take Center Stage
The Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers will present Faith, Love & Fancy
at two performances Sunday, February 11, 2000 3:00 p.m. - Roswell UMC Sanctuary; Tuesday, February 13, 2000 8:00 p.m. – Oglethorpe University, Conant Performing Arts Center.

Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers present a program entitled Faith, Love, & Fancy. The acclaimed 24-voice ensemble will perform selections from sacred, secular, European, American, traditional, and contemporary
genres that cover the musical spectrum from classic choral literature to vocal jazz and touch on the aforementioned subjects. Selections to be performed on the program include:
Faith - Cantate Domino (Hassler), The Lamb (Tavener) , and He Never Failed Me Yet (Ray)
Love - A Red, Red Rose (Mulholland), Go Lovely Rose (Thiman), and But Beautiful (Heusen)
Fancy - Never, Never Land from "Peter Pan" (arr. Huff), I Have Had Singing (Sametz), and Turn the World Around (arr. DeCormier)
Recognized for its artistry and stylistic versatility, The Michael O'Neal Chamber
Singers has been hailed by The Atlanta Journal - Constitution as "the finest small chorus to emerge in more than a decade." Approximately one-half of the
membership possesses degrees in music, and most of the singers are accomplished soloists in their own right. With a repertoire spanning centuries and styles, MOCS appears on concert series at area colleges, and for
corporate and civic events. This past year the MOCS was featured on The
First Art broadcast on National Public Radio and on a Georgia Public Television special chronicling the arts in Georgia.
In addition to the February 11 performance in Roswell, Faith, Love & Fancy
will be presented on February 13 at the Conant Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Oglethorpe University as a part of the "Arts and Ideas at
Oglethorpe" series. Oglethorpe University is located at 4484 Peachtree Road N.E. in Atlanta. Tickets (Adults $15 / Seniors & Students $12) for both performances are available through the MOS Office (770/594-7974) and at the door.
