New MOS Recordings Feature "The Creation" Highlights and "Songs of the South"
As this newsletter goes to press, the anxiously awaited recordings of Highlights from The Creation and Songs of the South are in transit to Roswell from the production house in Florida. Highlights from the live performance of The Creation in May 1999 features The Michael O'Neal Singers and The Roswell UMC Sanctuary Choir with Georgia Sinfonia and soloists Arietha Lockhart, Oliver Sueing, and David Rice and includes all the choruses and selected solos from Haydn's great masterwork. Songs of the South includes spirituals, folk songs and hymns from the Southern tradition performed by both the both the full chorus and The Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers.
