Auditions for MOS & MOCS scheduled for Summer 2001

The Michael O'Neal Singers holds auditions each summer for the positions in the full chorus (volunteer) and professional chamber ensemble (paid) for the following season (September – May). Auditions are open to interested professional and amateur singers in the Atlanta area dedicated to achieving excellence in choral performance.  

Dr. Michael O'Neal - Link to Audition InformationFull Chorus - Auditions for all voice parts will be held in August. The 15-minute audition consists of range and tessitura checks, sight-reading, tonal memory, and scales (major, minor, and chromatic). Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at Roswell United Methodist Church.

Chamber Singers - Auditions for the 24-voice professional (paid) ensemble will be held in July, and will consist of the full chorus audition (see above) and two prepared solos of contrasting styles. Rehearsals will be held on scheduled Tuesdays at Oglethorpe University; performances will include selected concerts on the MOS subscription series and other appearances throughout the year. Participation in the full chorus is not mandatory, but at the director's discretion.
