The Michael O'Neal Singers announces the 2002-2003 Concert Season! Messiah & Berlioz Requiem Among Season Highlights
As MOS enters its "lucky thirteenth" concert season, we are proud to feature "expanded offerings" both in terms of musical artistry,
programming, and scheduled performances.
The 2002-03 season opener promises an evening full of pomp and circumstance as the sounds of chorus, brass, organ, and percussion fill the room. Christmas brings the
all-time audience favorite Messiah by George Frederic Handel to two performances – Friday evening and a new Sunday afternoon time. The
professional 20-voice chamber ensemble showcases its talent and versatility in a program of American music, with performances in Roswell and Atlanta
(Oglethorpe University). In March, internationally acclaimed tenor Michael Sylvester will join the 160-voice chorus, full orchestra, with organ and
antiphonal brass for a glorious presentation of Hector Berlioz's monumental Requiem. The season concludes with another blockbuster as the chorus salutes the music of the silver screen in Hooray for Hollywood.
Dates and titles are listed below. A brochure with details on each program will be mailed this summer. Please let us know if there are any changes to your
mailing information, or if you wish us to send a season brochure to friends and associates. Additions &/or updates to the mailing list can be sent via e-mail to staff@mosingers.com or by calling us at 770/594-7974.
