MOS Donor Profile – Nancy S. Cole
By Ellen H. Sacchi, Development Director
"Give to what feeds your spirit," says Nancy S. Cole, MOS Board Member and supporter. A native of upstate New York and now a resident of Midtown Atlanta, Nancy gives considerable time each week to the organization
through rehearsals and her Board member duties. In addition, she has given MOS her generous philanthropic support.
Nancy Cole has been singing with Michael O'Neal for over 15 years, beginning before The Michael O'Neal Singers was incorporated. She relates that MOS has been a major influence – and a major joy
- in her life. She served as one of the first organization Presidents in the early 1990's when MOS had no staff and was entirely volunteer driven.
As a retired educator, including over 11 years as Counselor at the Galloway School, Nancy recognizes the importance of the arts in education as well as in everyday life. She was inspired by
her mother to establish the Professional Soloists Fund, or Diva Fund, with MOS. Because her mother had always been proud of her work with MOS, when she passed away, Nancy felt the Diva
Fund was a fitting tribute. In addition, Nancy has made a bequest to MOS through her will.
After two terms of dedicated service, Nancy will be rotating off the MOS Board of Directors later this year. Her energy and commitment will be deeply missed. MOS thanks Nancy for her
important role in broadening the artistic scope and expanding the organizational structure of MOS.
