MOS Web Site Gets A Face Lift
mosingers.com has a new look! Since its introduction in September 1999, the award-winning MOS site has grown to over 500 pages with over 3000 links.
Chorus members use the site each week to check rehearsal notes, receive announcements, and report
anticipated absences. Residents of the Atlanta metro area visit the site to gain updated information about concerts and to conveniently order tickets and CDs online. The site also has many international visitors, as is apparent from the many MOS CD orders
shipped to Canada, Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, and even Australia!
The updated site, launched on September 17th, is the result of more than one hundred hours spent by webmaster Mary Thompson to restructure and reconfigure the site. New sections
of the site include the Support MOS page, with links to ticket sales, donations, advertising, sponsorships, and variety of
available options which serve to sustain the artistic efforts of MOS. With new search buttons on the bottom of each page of the site, it's easier than ever to quickly find information on mosingers.com.
The Composer of the Month page is a recent addition to mosingers.com. Dr. Daryl Lee, a member of the chorus and
MOS Board of Directors, publishes a monthly article featuring an in-depth look at a well-known composer of choral music. The international presence of the MOS web site was once again
made apparent when a family member of Victor Paranjoti, September's Composer of the Month, emailed from Europe to
express her delight in discovering the feature about Paranjoti through a chance web search. Paranjoti's piece Dravidian Dithyramb will be presented as part of the
A World of Song concert on October 22, 2004.
Other new content on the site includes information about the 2004-2005 concert season, details about
I Have Had Singing, the latest recording featuring The Michael O'Neal Chamber Singers, and restructured online ordering for individual concert tickets, recordings, and season Gold Packages. Many thanks to Mary Thompson for the skills and dedication she brought to this
project. Please take a moment to surf the site – then let us know what you think!
