As MOS prepares to bring down the curtain on another successful season of music making, I'd like to offer a special word of thanks to the folks who give so unselfishly of themselves week after week – the members of
MOS. The 130 or so singers who comprise MOS are indeed an eclectic bunch. They come from just about every profession imaginable, from locations all around (and beyond) the metro
Atlanta area. The main thing that draws such a diverse group of people together is their love of singing and the creation of something together that they could never do as individuals.
These wonderful people listen to me each week as I encourage, compliment, cajole, berate, and plead. Their constant desire to be the best chorus they can be has resulted in some
remarkable performances this season, and I am enormously grateful to them for all they have accomplished.
The final concert of the 2004/05 Season is MOS at the POPS, a journey through the popular music
of the 20th Century. Including such favorites as It Had to Be You, Moon River, 42nd Street, Can't Help Falling in Love, and What'd I Say: A Tribute to Ray Charles, this
performance is sure to have something for everyone! One of the unique characteristics of MOS is the broad range of repertoire it performs. You will certainly find this concert to be quite different
from anything else we have done this season, and you won't want to miss it. Be sure and join us on Friday, May 6, at 8:00 PM in our regular performance location of
Roswell UMC, as we salute one hundred years of popular song!
Gratefully,
