9. Timor et tremor
Fear and trembling have come upon me,
and darkness has covered me over.
Have pity on me, Lord, have pity on me,
because in you my soul has confided.
Hear, God, my plea, because you are my refuge and strong helper.
Lord, I have called on you; let me be not defeated.

10. Vinea mea electa
My chosen vine, I planted you;
how have you been converted to bitterness,
that you would crucify me and release Barabbas?
I who fenced you about and picked up stones from you.
And built a watchtower.

11. Tenebrae factae sunt
It became dark when the Jews had crucified Jesus,
and around the ninth hour Jesus exclaimed in a loud voice:
"My God, why have you forsaken me?"
and with inclined head, he gave up the spirit,
Crying out, Jesus with a loud voice said:
"Father, into your hands I commend my spirit."

12. Tristis est anima mea
Sad is my soul even to death.
Stay here and watch with me.
Now you will see the mob that will surround me.
You will take flight, and I will go to be sacrificed for you.
Behold, the hour draws near, and the Son of man
will be betrayed into the hands of sinners.
