Dear Friend of MOS,

Since 1989 The Michael O’Neal Singers organization has provided exceptional choral music for the greater Atlanta area. Recognizing that music is essential to the human spirit, we have sought to improve the quality of life of our singers and audiences alike, through polished performance of choral repertoire that engages, educates and enriches.

We know you can appreciate the many hours of work our volunteers and staff contribute, as we constantly strive to give our audiences a cultural gift with every concert. And you may also be assured that we remain fiscally prudent in all of the organization’s planning and operations.  As represented in the following chart, ticket sales comprise roughly one quarter of MOS revenues, and we rely on donations to cover more than half of our Operating Budget.

We are a non-profit organization, and that means we depend on community support to sustain our success and our future. With an eye toward securing that future of the musical gift we share, we ask that you purchase tickets to our events and please consider making a financial gift to MOS.

Details on the many ways you can support MOS are listed below.

If you prefer your gift be designated for a specific concert, project, or event we welcome you to contact us directly at staff@mosingers.com or 770.594.7974.

Remember that because MOS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your gift is tax deductible beyond the value of any goods or services received.

Thank you for your continued support!

With Gratitude,

Clay Hales, Board Chair
Michael O’Neal, Artistic Director

Other Ways to Give

Cash

You can mail your gift of cash or check made payable to “MOS” to The Michael O’Neal Singers, Inc., Post Office Box 1008, Roswell, Georgia 30077.  You can also use a credit card by calling our office with your information, or simply complete the DONATE NOW section on this page.

Matching Gifts

Many companies encourage charitable giving by matching donations made by their employees to arts and cultural organizations. Check with your human resources department to get a matching gift form.

Endowment Gifts

To ensure the future of The Michael O’Neal Singers, the MOS Foundation has been established to manage endowment gifts. Your gift designated for the MOS Foundation will enable MOS to continue to grow in terms of the audience it reaches and the quality of the programs it presents.

In-Kind Gifts

MOS maintains a list of needs for equipment, supplies and other necessities for daily operation of the chorus and the office. Please call if you are interested in making a donation.

Bequests

By making a simple change or codicil to your will, you can make a bequest to MOS of part or the entire residue of your estate. You may also benefit from estate tax savings.

Life Insurance and Annuity Policies

If you have a policy that is no longer needed, you can designate MOS as beneficiary of the proceeds of an IRA or retirement plan by completing a form with your policy holder or by changing your existing policy to name MOS as owner and beneficiary.

IRAs and Retirement Plans

MOS can be named as a beneficiary of the proceeds. These plans can be an unattractive asset to leave to children due to the associated tax burden. Please seek advice from your financial advisors.

Life Income Gifts

If you are interested in increasing your income for your lifetime, you can make a gift to MOS that will also provide tax advantages. For example, a charitable remainder trust provides an income to your designee for a period of years until the remainder is transferred to MOS. Please ask us for more information.

Real Estate

Securities and Real Estate Gifts of appreciated property can generate an income tax deduction and avoidance of capital gains tax (for property held more than one year).

No single publication can tell you everything you should know about making charitable gifts that will be the most advantageous for you. Please check with your own financial advisors for advice or feel free to contact us for a referral to a trusted professional. We are happy to be of assistance.
