Dear Friend of MOS,
Since 1989, The Michael O'Neal Singers (MOS) has brought exceptional choral music to the greater Atlanta area. As a non-profit organization, MOS depends on the financial support of its audience and the
community for its success and its future.
Whether you support MOS by subscribing to the annual concert series or by attendance at one of the many performances throughout the Atlanta area, you can appreciate the expense and the many hours of work the
volunteers and the staff contribute to our concerts. Through our music, MOS strives to give its audiences a cultural gift with every concert.
With an eye toward securing the future, we ask you to consider making a gift to MOS. This section of the Web site details the many ways you can support us. If you prefer that your gift be designated for a
certain concert, project, or event, please contact us to discuss your wishes.
Each gift is acknowledged in printed concert programs with priority seating for MOS donors, concert ticket offers and special donor events.
Because MOS is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, your gift is tax deductible beyond the value of tickets received.
Thank you for your continued support and for considering a tax-deductible contribution to The Michael O'Neal Singers, Inc.
With Gratitude, Lee Herring Michael O'Neal
Board Chair Artistic Director
Ways To Support MOS
Cash Gifts MOS accepts gifts by cash, check or credit card via the mail (The Michael O'Neal Singers, Inc., Post Office Box 1008, Roswell, Georgia 30077) or through the Web site www.mosingers.com.
Matching Gifts
Many companies encourage charitable giving by matching donations made by their employees to arts and cultural organizations. Check with your human resources department to get a matching gift form.
Securities and Real Estate Gifts of appreciated property can generate an income tax deduction and avoidance of capital gains tax (for property held more than one year).
Endowment Gifts
To ensure the future of The Michael O'Neal Singers, the MOS Foundation has been established to manage gifts toward the endowment. Your gift designated for the endowment will enable MOS to continue to grow in terms of the audience it reaches and the quality of the programs it presents.
In-Kind Gifts
MOS maintains a list of needs for equipment, supplies and other necessities for daily operation of the chorus and the office. Please call if you are interested in making a donation.
Bequests
By making a simple change or codicil to your will, you can make a bequest to MOS of part or the entire residue of your estate. You may also benefit from estate tax savings.
Life Insurance and Annuity Policies
If you have a policy that is no longer needed, you can designate MOS as beneficiary of the proceeds by completing a form with your policy holder or by changing your existing policy to name MOS as owner and beneficiary.
IRAs and Retirement Plans
MOS can be named as a beneficiary of the proceeds. These plans can be an unattractive asset to leave to children due to the associated tax burden. Please seek advice from your financial advisors.
Life Income Gifts
If you are interested in increasing your income for your lifetime, you can make a gift to MOS that will also provide tax advantages. For example, a charitable remainder trust provides an income to your designee for a period of years until the remainder is transferred to MOS. Please ask us for more information.
For Further Information No single publication can tell you everything you should know about making charitable gifts that will be the most advantageous for you. Please check with your own financial
advisors for advice or feel free to contact us for a referral to a trusted professional. We are happy to be of assistance.
