The world of grand opera is often bigger than life, with elaborate story lines set to compelling music that involves the listener in the basic yet powerful emotions of love, betrayal, greed, jealousy, grief, and joy. In opera, reality gives way to the transcendent truth of art and to the power of music and words to touch the human heart at its deepest reaches. In Fantasy of the Opera<\/em>, MOS, along with five professional opera soloists, will take you on a tour of favorite and familiar opera choruses, ensembles and arias that will explore the emotions listed above. We\u2019ll include well-known pieces from Bizet\u2019s Carmen<\/em>, Verdi\u2019s Il trovatore<\/em>, Aida<\/em>, and La traviata<\/em>, Donizetti\u2019s Lucia de Lammermoor<\/em>, Wagner\u2019s Tannh\u00e4user<\/em>, Mascagni\u2019s Cavalleria rusticana<\/em>, and much more.
