Summer Singers

Choral singers–keep your voices in shape during the “off season” by joining Michael O’Neal for a community program of choral standards…a musical “bucket list,” so to say! This summer’s program includes choral selections that have stood the test of time and are “essential” repertoire for well-rounded choral singers and listeners. The first version of Essential Choral Classics was performed by MOSS in 2015. The Michael O’Neal Summer Singers is a non-auditioned summer chorus, now in its 20th year. No audition is required, but previous choral experience is strongly recommended. In-person participation requirements include rehearsal attendance for at least five of the seven scheduled rehearsals, as well as the dress rehearsal and performance; and a participation fee of $75 per singer which will include scores and audio rehearsal materials.

In-person singers will need to provide their own black folder and concert dress. Concert dress must be all black and may be black long-sleeved collared shirts with black pants, or 3/4- or long-sleeved black outfits (can be dresses, skirts and blouses, or slacks and blouses; skirts/dresses must be tea-length or longer), plus black shoes with black socks/stockings.

The 2024 Summer Singers program is also available in MOS ONLINE format, for singers who would like to participate remotely. All registered singers will receive links to the marked scores, audio part-learning aids, and a special MOS ONLINE concert recording.  Registration is ongoing.
